FAQ

Answers to the most frequently asked questions about the HADL service.

What asset types are supported?

HADL supports:

  • Stocks
  • Bonds
  • Funds (ETF, mutual funds, etc.)
  • Cryptocurrencies
  • Currency
  • Futures
  • Custom assets — deposits, real estate, loans, etc.

Which brokers and sources are supported?

Deals can be imported via API or by uploading reports (HTML, Excel). Supported sources include T-Bank Investments, Sber, Alfa, BCS, Finam, VTB, MTS, Bybit, MEXC, OKX, and others; the list is growing. The current list is available in the Import operations section after you sign in.

How do I add new assets and deals?

Assets are added to the portfolio automatically when you add an operation with that asset. To add deals you can:

  1. Add manuallyQuick actions (plus on the top bar) → Add operation.
Quick actions → Add operation
  1. Upload a report — In Import operations, select the source and upload your broker’s report file (HTML or Excel). It’s recommended to upload reports for the full account history, from oldest to newest.

Importing from multiple accounts of the same broker into one portfolio is supported.

How much does the subscription cost?

You can view plans and personal discounts on the Subscription management page in the app. Pricing is available at hadl.app/subscription.

HADL has four plans:

  • Free — 1 portfolio and up to 10 assets. Analytics, reports, performance charts, and the accruals calendar are available without limits.
  • Lite — several portfolios, unlimited assets, and manual import of broker reports. For tracking a real portfolio without automation.
  • Basic — unlimited portfolios and assets, automatic API sync, portfolio backups, operation alerts, AI notifications, and composite portfolios.
  • Premium — everything in Basic plus unlimited AI, asset consolidation in composite portfolios, and priority support.

New users get a 14-day demo period with full access to all features.

What happens when the free trial ends?

After the trial, your subscription switches to the free tier with limits: 1 portfolio and up to 10 assets. If you stay within these limits, no action is needed. If not, the app will show a warning asking you to renew your subscription.

Your list of portfolios, assets, and deals remains available; data is kept until you delete it.

How do I change my plan and how is the cost recalculated?

You can change your plan at any time on the Subscription management page — both to a more expensive and a cheaper one. Changes take effect immediately.

The unused value of your current plan is not lost: when you switch, it's converted into extra days of the new plan at its daily rate. So switching to a cheaper plan turns the remaining paid period into more days of the new plan, and switching to a pricier one into fewer. Before payment, the app always shows the breakdown: how much will be charged and until when the subscription will be active.

Your previous subscription in the payment system is cancelled automatically to avoid double charging.

How do I view stats for several portfolios?

Use a composite portfolio — a portfolio that combines several regular portfolios. You’ll see combined statistics and analytics.

To create a composite portfolio:

  1. Tap Add portfolio (quick actions menu or My portfolios).
Composite portfolio
  1. Choose Composite as the portfolio type.
  2. Select the regular portfolios to include.
  3. Save. The composite portfolio’s categories are created from the selected portfolios and can be edited later.

  1. Long-press the "Portfolio" icon in the bottom menu to open PortfoliosHover over the portfolio name on the top bar
  2. In the row of the portfolio you want, tap Share.
Share portfolio
  1. Enable access and optionally set the public title, description, and visible sections.
  2. Copy the Public link and send it to whoever you want to share with.

The link looks like: https://hadl.app/public/portfolio/{id}. You can disable access later if you want.

How do I top up my portfolio before buying assets?

First create a Top-up operation for the currency (rubles, dollars, etc.): in the “Quantity” field enter the amount — e.g. 100,000 rubles. Then add the purchase deal for the asset: the app will deduct the amount from that currency if you select it as the source of funds.

Top up portfolio

If “Top up by purchase amount” is enabled when buying an asset, you don’t need to top up currency separately — the app will add the deal amount to the portfolio automatically. Manual top-up is needed for full top-up and portfolio growth statistics.

How do I add a deposit?

Add the deposit via the “Add deposit” menu item (not “Add custom asset”). Enter the amount, interest rate, opening date, and term. All required operations (deposit, accruals, and closing) will be added automatically. If “Deduct from currency” is checked, the app will deduct the amount from your currency balance.

Quick actions → Add deposit

If something went wrong (e.g. you changed the asset type or amount), you can delete only the deposit purchase operation in the operations list; the deposit itself stays, and you can re-enter it with the correct data.

How do I delete a portfolio?

Long-press the "Portfolio" icon in the bottom menu to open Portfolios. Swipe the target portfolio left and tap Settings.Hover over the current portfolio name in the top menu → select the target portfolio → open Settings for that portfolio. Deletion is available at the bottom of the modal. It’s a good idea to export your data before deleting.

What is unrealized profit?

It’s the not-yet-fixed difference between purchase price and current valuation of the asset, plus accrued coupon income (ACI) on bonds. Example: you bought a share for 100 ₽, it’s now 200 ₽ — unrealized profit is 100 ₽ until you sell. The metric helps you see how much potential profit is still “in” the assets vs how much is already received and reflected in currency.

Can I import data from multiple accounts or tokens of T-Bank Investments into one portfolio?

Yes. In the Import operations section you can add several API integrations for the same broker (e.g. T-Bank Investments), each tied to a separate token. Each integration appears as its own card, and you can run imports from each of them into the same portfolio.

This is useful if, for example, you have two T-Bank Investments accounts with different ISA or brokerage accounts: both sets of accounts will be imported into one portfolio, and the statistics will be combined.

How to add a second integration:

  1. In Import operations, tap API integration.
  2. Select the broker (e.g. T-Bank Investments).
  3. Enter the second token and verify it — the accounts linked to this token will appear.
  4. Give the integration a name (e.g. "T-Investments — Wife's ISA") to tell the cards apart.
  5. Tap Connect.

Both cards will then appear on the import page, and you can run imports from each into the portfolio of your choice.

How often does the T-Bank API sync?

T-Bank Investments API sync runs every three hours. You can check status and last import times in Import operations in the import history. You can refresh data manually at any time via quick actions.

I don’t see amounts in the app (only dots). How do I show amounts?

The “Hide amounts” option is turned on. To see absolute values, turn it off in the menu (the “eye” icon is highlighted in red when amounts are hidden).

Turn off hide amounts

Can I pay for the subscription without using Apple/RuStore?

Payment is via CloudPayments — both in the mobile app and on the website. There is no separate in-app payment through app stores.

How do I see total stock count in units?

In the web app, in Assets, set a filter by type “Stocks”. You can see the total quantity at the bottom of the table.

My bond has a floating coupon. How is it shown in the calendar?

Floating coupons are updated when the issuer announces them. If the coupon for the next period isn’t announced yet, the app may show an extrapolation from previous payments (you can turn this extrapolation off in settings if you want).

Do accruals (coupons) increase portfolio value?

If the portfolio setting Add accruals to currency is enabled, when an accrual is posted it is credited to currency. Until then, bond value is increased by accrued coupon income (ACI). After the coupon is received in rubles, the amount is reflected in the portfolio’s currency.

Why is accrued coupon income (ACI) counted as an expense? It gets offset when the coupon is paid.

Yes, ACI is offset when the coupon is paid. The key is that ACI paid and coupons received are tracked separately: ACI paid is reflected in ACI profit, and coupons received — in accrual profit. So ACI profit alone looks negative, but total profit including coupons is positive.

How it works step by step:

  1. You buy a bond and pay the seller 30 ₽ in ACI. ACI profit immediately shows −30 ₽. But the bond’s current ACI is also 30 ₽ and counts towards unrealized profit — so the net is ±0.
  2. Each day the bond’s current ACI grows, and unrealized ACI profit increases with it.
  3. On coupon payment day you receive, say, 80 ₽ — this goes into accrual profit (+80 ₽). The bond’s ACI resets to zero, and ACI profit goes back to −30 ₽.
  4. Total profit: −30 ₽ (ACI) + 80 ₽ (coupon) = +50 ₽.

Can I get a refund for the subscription?

We want the service to meet users’ needs for analytics and investment monitoring. We offer 2 weeks of free access, which is more than enough to try all features. If the current functionality doesn’t suit you or something has stopped working, we recommend contacting support and describing the issue — we fix bugs quickly and implement many improvements based on user requests; a refund may be possible minus fees and any discount applied for a longer subscription term.

How do I set up price notifications for an asset?

HADL offers two types of price notifications (push notifications on your phone):

Target price

Notifies you once when the asset price reaches a specified value. Useful for tracking buy/sell target levels. You can create multiple alerts per asset with different names, e.g. "Buy target" and "Sell target".

Daily price change

Notifies you when an asset's price changes by a specified percentage within the current day. Available thresholds: 1%, 2%, 3%, 5%, 10%. Check frequency — hourly or daily.

Notifications are cascading: if the threshold is 5%, the first notification arrives at 5% change, the next at 10%, then at 15%, etc. Thresholds reset every day.

Notification targets

  • Individual asset — tracks a specific asset's price change. Available on the asset page (bell icon) or via the assets table menu.
  • Portfolio — monitors all assets in the portfolio. If any asset changes more than the threshold, you receive a push listing those assets. Available in the portfolios table.
  • Watchlist — same as portfolio, but for favorited assets. Available on the watchlist page ("Notifications" button).

Push notifications require notification permissions in your phone's app settings. The app will prompt you to enable them when creating a notification if they're not already active.

Price notifications are available on paid plans (Lite and above) and during the demo period.
